Hello! So the poppy flowers in the garden have finished flowering and all the petals have fallen off. They have been sort of drying out on the stem but yesterday I cut them off to dry them so we can make so delicious Montreal style poppy seed bagels!!! The pastel colours of the dried poppy flowers looked so pretty, i just had to photograph them! (the seeds are in the bottom ball shaped thing! Pics of the bagels coming up on Adam’s blog)

Hi guys! This Christmas was spent on the playa in the hot sun, surfing!! It was awesome!!! We decided to leave the farm for a few days to drive towards Opunake in the Taranaki region. We went to that exact area because it was the only place where there was going to be some decent swell. Unfortunately xmas morning was spent in the nearby hospital, as Adam ripped the skin between his toes, on a tent peg. Even though he was supposed to keep it dry, that didn’t stop him from enjoying a xmas surf however… Instead of stitching him up they put some weird tissue glue and he was all better. Not too many photos as we were pretty busy ripping it up in the water!!! And no photos of the gross ripped toe (I almost passed out when seeing it!). I hope you all had a great holiday season!!!

Hi guys! It was a nice warm weekend here in Wellington and Adam and I had a little time to go for a walk to a place we’d never been before, Eastbourne, the town opposite Wellington. The surf was not meant to be any good, but we wanted to see where we could go, once it does get good in Eastbourne. Unfortunately the road which we thought was accessible to see the break was only for walkers and cyclists.. Boo… But it was a nice long walk, too long even, and we never got to see the break. Instead we walked back to Eastbourne and ate some yummy gelato! Here are a few photos:

Bonjour, bonjour! We’ve been pretty busy lately.. so sorry for not posting anything in a little while. It really feels like summer now in NZ, but definitely not christmas! It’s getting warmer and sunnier, and people are putting their xmas trees up, weird!! Anyways, a few days ago we had another lovely wwoofer stay at the farm, Simona from Germany. She was a huge Lord of the Rings fan, so we took her on the Rivendell hike that we’d done before. We even made a day of it and rented to Fellowship of the rings (1st time i ever saw it!) in the evening, to see if we could see any of the hike we did… There is only one little bit we noticed though, and it was the river… I also added a photo of a weta (after months, I finally found one!) what a cool creepy bug! Harmless though.
